Licensing policy - three year review

Section 5 of the Licensing Act 2003 requires each Licensing Authority to prepare and publish a Statement of Licensing Policy which sets out how it will exercise its licensing functions under the Act.

Under the Licensing Act 2003, as Licensing Authority, we are required to produce a Statement of Licensing Policy, which sets out how we have interpreted the Act and the basis on which decisions are to be made, every three years.

From 16th August to 11th October 2010 we consulted on our draft revised Statement of Licensing Policy and the changes that had been proposed to it.

The reviewed policy was formally adopted by Full Council on 08 December 2010 and is available to view here:
