Peterborough City Council supports the
Peterborough Skills Vision. We will award up to 8% of
available tender points to companies who have shown their
commitment to the Peterborough Skills Vision and other initiatives
that contribute to the local economy. This particular
innovative city-wide initiative is a new way of working which
brings businesses together with the education sector to enhance
Peterborough’s current and future workforce.
The Skills Vision is centred on an annual
survey which seeks to find out from Peterborough’s businesses what
skills they require now, and in the future. The returned
information informs the shape of education provision that is funded
and delivered locally. In addition, The Skills Vision
encourages businesses to support their staff to gain business
relevant skills and qualifications.
