Tenders and contracts
We are required to work to EU procurement directives applying to
contracts above given thresholds (services & supplies £156,442.
and works £3,927,260 - effective 1 January 2010).
We advertise our tender opportunities on a dedicated
procurement portal. The portal provides information on all current,
past and future tenders proposed for Peterborough City Council. The
procurement portal offers
suppliers the ability to view contract announcements in real time
and uses BiP Solutions' e-notice service Project, for placing EU
and non-EU public notices, and facilitates the publication of these
notices immediately giving suppliers instant access to contract
opportunities.
The EU directives clearly outline the procedures and standards
to be followed by the council when undertaking a tender exercise
and awarding contracts with the emphasis on non-discrimination and
competition. Where the value of contracts is below EU thresholds,
the council’s contractual standing orders are applied when
undertaking quotation or tender exercises. To apply for an
invitation to tender and for further details of requirements in
relation to any of the Council’s tender opportunities please
register as a supplier with the Delta e-tendering suite.
