Gladstone children's centre
Children’s centres support families with children under
five. They offer easy access to health and family support,
help with finding jobs and training, drop-in sessions, and
activities and information about local childcare and early
education. 
What services are available?
We offer a wide range of services for all families with children
under the age of five living in the Gladstone and surrounding area.
All playing and learningsessions are 50p per family.

The Veranda Family Centre
- Little Learners - A group that encourages children to
make choices and develops their natural curiosity. Monday 11am to
12pm.
- PEEP Group - A learning group for
parents and children aged from birth to five years. PEEP values
parents as the most important educators of their children.
Tuesday 11am to 12pm (Places must be booked in
advance).
- Interactive Stroy Time - Enjoy the activities which are
linked to the big storybook. Wednesday 11am to 11.45am.
- Messy Play - Have fun with your child as they
experience the shaving foam with hidden surprises, painting, pasta
and much more. Thursday 11am to 12pm.
- Rhyme Time - Shake the pom poms, bang the drum and play
with the puppets as we sing along. Friday 11am to
11.45am.
- Child Health Clinic - The Health Visitors Team runs
a Child Health Clinic at both Centres. Health information and
advice on all matters related to keeping you, and them, healthy and
safe. Wednesday 10am to 12pm.

The Allama Iqbal Family Centre
- Wrigglers and Gigglers - This session runs alongside the baby
weighing clinic so professionals are on hand to discuss any issues.
Come and talk to other parents and watch your children explore
and socialise with children the same age. Tuesday 11am to
12pm.
- Sensory Learning - Share new discoveries with your child
as they explore textures, sights, smells and sounds.
Wednesday 1.30pm to 2.30pm.
- Child Health Clinic - The Health Visitors Team runs a
Child Health Clinic at both Centres. Health information and advice
on all matters related to keeping you, and them, healthy and safe.
Tuesday 10am to 12pm.

Opening times
We are open from 9am to 5pm Monday to Friday. You are welcome to
drop in, have a drink and find out more about what we do and what
we have to offer you and your family. The Children's Centres
team welcome any questions you may have as well as ideas for
particular services you would like to receive.
