What services are available?
Welcome to Werrington Children's Centre.
We have a wide range of early years play and learning opportunities
for you to enjoy here at Werrington Children's Centre. We also
offer adult learning sessions and provide integrated services at
the centre, such as Baby Clinics, developmental checks, JobCentre
Plus sessions and advice from other agencies too. Come and join us
and get to know others in your local area and make new friends. Our
friendly staff are waiting to meet you and your children and will
happily show you around.
Autumn term activities at a glance:
Singing Group Monday 9.30-10.30am: Come along
to a friendly sing song session for Mums, dads carers and your
little ones. Cost 50p per family.
Messy Monkeys Stay and Play Tuesday 1.00 -
2.30pm: Have fun playing in the gloop, play dough, paints, water
and sand play and lots of other toddler crafts. Cost £1 per
family.
Arts and Crafts Tuesday 9.30 -
10.30am: Have fun and get creative in these art
sessions for adults and children. Pre booking essential. Cost
Free.
Lets Dance Tuesday 11-11.30am: The perfect way
to introduce your child to the world of dance. Lots of
encouragement, smiles and fun. Your child will learn basic skills
such as balance, coordination and rhythm. Age 18month-5's. Cost £1
per family.
Little Learners Wednesday 10am - 11.15 &
1.15 - 2.45pm - This course helps parents learn to support
their children's language development, creativity and better
understand their developmental stages.
Childminders
drop-in Thursday 10am - 11.15am: Come and
join us for a chat and play session. Childminding network
coordinator Jo Smith visits to run Jabadao. The development
movement play theories will be integrated into everyday play. Cost
£1 per family.
Babblers Thursday 1.15pm - 2.30pm: For new
parents and babies (up to the age of 1 year). Cost 50p.
Yummy Tummy Time Friday 9.30am - 12.30: Explore
healthy snacks and lunch box ideas and then munch with your
friends. Cost £1 per family.
New Groups
Webster Stratton Parenting
Programme
Starting Friday 23rd September 1pm - 2.45pm
- The Webster Stratton parenting programme is a fun and creative
way of learning new ideas and teachniques to enhance
your parenting skills. The ten week course is well established
and is an ideal chance to meet other parents and talk about the
highs and lows of being a parent.
Tiddlers, (follow on group from Babblers),
starting Thursday 8th September. This is a friendly relaxed group
for parents/carers and their tots aged one to two years, fun
activities, sharing toys and making new friendships. 1.15pm -
2.30pm. Cost 50p.
Fitness Dance Classes, starting Monday 10th
October. Do you depise the thought of pumping weights in a gym?
Would you like to keep fit and healthy within a local, friendly,
relaxed environment? Come and enjoy a session of fun exercise and
learn a few basic dance steps. Leave with a smile and feel good
about yourself. 1.45pm - 2.45pm. Cost £1. A creche is also
available to parents at a cost of 50p per child.
Saturdads, Starting 1st October This is going
to be a fun time, full of activities which we hope you will all
enjoy. 10am - 12noon. Pre booking essential.
