Crofts Corner playcentre

Croft's Corner playcentre is a hive of activity and is situated close to Eyrescroft primary school and Bretton Park.  The centre is easily reached by car and is close to the local network of footpaths, bus routes and cycle ways.

Facilities available

The centre itself has a large multipurpose room and some of the activities we have and do here are:

  • pool table
  • home corner
  • arts and crafts area
  • indoor games
  • cooking is a popular activity with children planning, preparing, cooking and eating healthy options; we even make our own bread

We are here for your children and try to ensure that, wherever possible, the children choose the activities they want to do; we want your children to have fun and enjoy our playcentre so the children who attend are free to pick and choose which activities they would like to do, they also have an input into planning for future events. Children participate fully in decision making which affects the playcentre.

There is a large fully enclosed outdoor site which includes:

  • a climbing frame with slide
  • swings
  • an aerial runway
  • apparatus named by the children as the witches hat and the helicopter

There is plenty of room for various physical activities and natural play such as climbing trees, digging and den building.  We encourage children to interact with the natural environment by introducing themed projects that encompass respect for all living things.

We are always looking for people with new skills and ideas to bring to the playcentres so if you have some spare time and would like to help us out please get in touch with your playcentre for more information; all help is much appreciated and it is a very rewarding way to spend your spare time.
