Showing films in the classroom helps to motivate children
and young people to talk, write and plan so we
decided to go one step further and have them make the films
themselves. It helps them to explore their imaginations. They
have to think about expressing relationships, emotions and stories
through words and pictures.
When making films the children design storyboards to
show on paper what happens and when. The enjoyment
that children get from making films has helped to make them
more interested in exploring and understanding other stories.
