Effective communication and engagement
Good communication and engagement is essential when working with
children, young people and their families. Courses in this
section will support practitioners development of the building of
professional relationships, understanding and responding
appropriately and ways to ensure effective engagement with service
users.
For Foster Carers, Residential Workers and other practitioners responsible for the care of children and young people who have experienced trauma, separation and/or loss
Ideal for all practitioners who work with parents and have a desire to develop skills in helping families in difficulty
Applicable to all practitioners within children's services who require cultural awareness training
Applicable to all practitioners working directly with children and young people who have a genuine interest in seeking to understand the child’s world and experience through a number of media
Designed to help children with social and communication problems understand situations that may be causing them confusion, leading to anxiety and perhaps behavioural difficulties.
