Cultural competency

Peterborough is a diverse community of many black and ethnic groups. This event aims to equip practitioners with the skills to challenge discrimination and to be able to work sensitively to develop and strengthen the way we respond to the needs of diverse communities.

Learning outcomes

  • to provide a toolkit which offers an understanding of Cultural Competency;
  • gain an in-depth understanding of culture and why it is important in service delivery;
  • an update on key national drivers, legislation and local and national demographics;
  • to provide information on the main religions, cultures and communities Peterborough serves

Event fee

Free to all members of the Peterborough Children's Trust.  For all other profit making organisations and organisations outside the Peterborough area a charge of £100 per delegate will be applied.
