Lord Laming's recommendations - Peterborough's response

Following on from Lord Laming’s report on safeguarding and the recommendations that were made as a result, Peterborough has produced a progress report which evaluates how well we are delivering against the recommendations and what we intend to do in Peterborough.

The report found significant good practice in Peterborough and that we are already working towards meeting many of Lord Laming’s recommendations.  However, there is still more work to be done.  The report made 27 key recommendations for partners, including Peterborough’s Safeguarding Children Board (PSCB), Children’s Trust, Police, Health Services and Social Care Services.

The Children’s Trust have endorsed these recommendations and work is underway to implement them.  These recommendations covered areas such as staff training referral and assessment processes and relationships between the PSCB and the Children’s Trust.

Lord Laming's report is available to view online, Peterborough's progress report is also available below.
