Peterborough Intergenerational Projects (PIP)

'PIP' is the name given to all intergenerational activity within the Peterborough area.

Introduction

Peterborough Intergenerational Projects (PIP) was introduced at the Annual Conference held in November 2010. The idea behind PIP is to create a 'brand' that individuals across the City of Peterborough, and in time from outside of the City, instantly associate with intergenerational work.

One of the main problems is that a large number of people are still unaware of the word 'intergenerational' and that they might actually be involved in an intergenerational activity or project.

In Peterborough we are hoping to overcome this problem by 'stamping' all intergenerational work within the City with the PIP logo. This will increase the awareness to local people of PIP and could encourage greater participation from City residents.

Registering with PIP

To register a project with PIP submit a brief outline of your project with your contact details to Caroline.Sheffield@peterborough.gov.uk.

At PIP we don't want to take over the day to day running of your project and will only step in should you request our help. All we offer is our free expert advice and guidance to help ensure the longevity of  your project. We can also offer advice on sourcing funding, or venues for your project.

In return all we ask is that you display a copy of the PIP logo at your event or project, and if appropriate on any media or press releases.  We also ask that you give us permission to take photos and develop a case study/story of your project, this information will be displayed on this website.
