Making films encourages children to talk, write and
plan, It helps them to explore their imaginations. They have
to think about expressing relationships, emotions and stories
through words and pictures. Before making the films the children
design storyboards to show on paper what happens and when. The
enjoyment that the children get from making films has helped to
make them more interested in exploring and understanding other
stories.
The Peterborough children and young people's film awards
have been taking place since 2006, winning entries from previous
years are available to download.
