Governor forum
Each term chairs of governors or other interested governors, are
invited to attend a topical briefing. The agenda reflects the key
issues facing the education service in the term ahead
and provides governors with information they will need
for the forthcoming term's governing body business.
The briefings are presented by Local Authority officers and
the governor services team. The content of the briefings include
the following:
- Practical issues affecting the work of your governing body
- New governing body responsibilities and requirements
- Education initiatives at local/national level
- Local/national consultations
- The work of LA teams/departments
The briefings will be held on Tuesday 1 November 2011 as
follows:
- TIME : To be confirmed 6.00pm or 7.00pm to 8.30pm,
refreshment available from 5.30pm or 6.30pm
- At The Courtyard - Main Assembly Hall
Booking forms will be sent with the agenda each term
to chairs of governing bodies and clerks.
