Governor Leadership group
The governor reference group consists of nominated chairs of
governors, representing all school phases, within three area
constituencies and LA officers.
The purpose of the Group is to:
- promote effective communication and the sharing of good
practice between the LA and governing bodies, and to encourage
governing bodies to seek help and support from each other.
- provide LA service managers with the governors' perspective in
order to inform policy and practice within the service
- support school improvement through the further development of
effective school governance in Peterborough schools
- act as a means of consultation to ensure the delivery of a
quality service to governing bodies, and as a critical friend to
both governing bodies and the LA
Membership is as follows:
- One representative for special schools
- Three representative primary chairs (one from each of the area
constituencies)
- Three representative secondary chairs
