The Academy will open in April 2012 in the existing buildings of
Stanground College. A major capital building programme costing
£24m has been secured to provide ’state of the art’ buildings and
facilities for pupils and staff. These new buildings will be
completed by September 2013. High quality academic, vocational and
sports facilities will be provided.
The Academy will serve the local community with pupils living
closest to the new buildings having priority for places. Offering a
full comprehensive curriculum, including academic GCSEs and A
levels plus vocational courses at Level 2 and Level 3, the Academy
is designed for pupils of all abilities. A high level of
examination success is expected of all.
