Report a fraud

If you suspect someone of comitting benefit fraud you can report them using our online form.

There are many different ways of committing fraud while claiming benefit. Listed below are a selection of the most common types of benefit fraud that are committed:

  • Persons who claim benefit who haven't notified the council they are living with a partner who is earning a wage.
  • Persons that don't declare their actual income/capital.
  • Persons who do not declare they have lodgers/dependants living in their property.
  • Persons who do not declare they are related to their landlord.
  • Contrived tenancy to take advantage of the benefits system.

We would ask anyone who is aware of fraud to notify us by using the link below. Although it is not necessary to fill in every box below (only questions that are highlighted are mandatory), it is helpful if you can supply us with as much detail about this person as possible.

Thank you.
