Citizen's Panel

A group of approximately 1,500 local residents who are demographically representative of the City.

Peterborough City Council has recruited a Citizen’s Panel, a group of approximately 1,500 local residents which is demographically representative of the population of the City. The Council has operated some form of Citizen’s Panel since 2001. They have been asked to complete a series of questionnaires, both postal and online, and attend focus group meetings.

Th Citizen's Panel are used as a sounding board to provide feedback on services, identify local priorities, assess service needs and determine the appropriateness of service developments and policy changes.  Membership of the panel is voluntary, and typically lasts for three years, with one third of the panel refreshed every year. There is no payment made but a token contribution is made to cover travel expenses for focus group meetings.

You can apply to join the Citizen's Panel by completing a brief online questionnaire.

The outcome reports from Panel meetings since 2011 are listed below.
