Peterborough cemeteries

We are responsible for five cemeteries within the City of Peterborough.

Broadway Cemetery

Situated approximately 1 mile from the city centre, Broadway Cemetery, which was opened in 1858, is located on Broadway, Peterborough and can be accessed on foot from Eastfield Road or by car or foot from Broadway. This cemetery is closed to new burials. This cemetery has been a designated county wildlife site since 1990 and contains approximately 150 species of flowers and plants, which include meadow saxifrage, ox-eye daisy and common knapweed.

Eastfield Cemetery

The entrance to this cemetery is situated on the corner of Newark Avenue and Eastfield Road. Eastfield Cemetery was opened in 1919 and offers the facility of standard earthen burials, brick lined graves, cremated remains plots, and vaults.

Fletton Cemetery

Fletton Cemetery is located on Fletton Avenue (A605). This Cemetery opened in 1893 and offers the facility of standard earthen burials, green burials, mausoleums, vaults and cremated remains plots.

Stanground Cemetery

Situated adjacent to Stanground Fire Station, Peterborough Road, Stanground Cemetery, which opened in 1890, has limited grave availability for those residents who have family already buried in this cemetery.

Woodston Cemetery

Woodston Cemetery is situated in New Road, Woodston and opened in 1882. This cemetery is closed for new burials.

Opening times

All our cemeteries open and close at the following times:

  • 1st April - 30th September 9.00am until 6.00pm daily
  • 1st October - 31st March  9.00am until 4.00pm daily
