This is a unique opportunity for individuals from acorss the city to showcase their horticultural efforts, all of which contribute to making Peterborough a better place to live, work and visit. In 2008 the awards took place in the Mayors parlour at the Town Hall and the top three entrants for each category were invited to receive their award and share tea and cakes with the mayor herself.

The competition consists of five categories:

  • Best Grow Your Own Garden
  • Best Floral Front Garden
  • Best Senior Citizen Garden
  • Best Wildlife Friendly Garden
  • Best Street
