Council tax
Council tax is money that helps to fund our services,
which range from street cleaning to schools, from social services
for the most vulnerable residents to maintenance of the city's
roads and open spaces. It also helps to fund Fire
and Rescue and Police services for Cambridgeshire and Peterborough.
Council tax is due on the 1st of each month by 10 monthly
instalments from April - January each financial year. Failure to
pay your Council tax by the due date could lead to you losing your
right to pay by instalments.
Almost all homes are subject to council tax. Details of tax bands and rates can be found here.
