Overview and scrutiny committees produce reports of their findings which acknowledge good practice and where necessary recommend improvements to services. Once a suitable period of time has elapsed to allow for the implementation of recommendations, committee members receive progress reports to monitor whether recommendations have been put into practice and if there have been improvements for service users.
