Peterborough City Council believes that it should be transparent
about where money is spent. This information will improve
transparency for residents, who provide much of the funding to the
council through council tax payments.
The attached reports list individual payments with a value over
£500 made to suppliers each month. This allows residents to see
what the council spends its money on. The information
excludes payments to individuals such as council tax refunds
and benefit payments. The payment amounts include VAT where
applicable.
The reports show three indicators of the purpose for which
the payment has been made (two for the service and one for the type
of payment). The reports also show the name of the supplier. Where
the payment is to an individual, such as a foster parent, the name
of the supplier has been replaced with the words ‘redacted personal
data’ to protect the privacy of the individual concerned.
If you wish to know more about any of the payments please submit
a Freedom of Information request through the council’s
Freedom of Information webpage quoting the month and year the
supplier payment information was published and please include
reference to the line number, the supplier name and the amount you
are querying. The council will respond to your enquiry within 20
working days.
This data is freely re-usable under the same terms recommended by
data.gov.uk. Further information about public sector
transparency is available from
