Growth and Infrastructure

Peterborough is one of the key areas for growth over the next twenty years, helping to deliver the government's requirements in the South East. With plans to build at least 25,000 new homes and create a minimum of 20,000  new jobs before 2021, we have a major growth programme to deliver.

Key aims

  • Work closely with the Greater Peterborough Partnership and Opportunity Peterborough to draw in investment to transform the city and neighbourhoods across Peterborough. 
  • Improve the delivery of the planning service by reviewing the employee structure, processes and use of technology
  • Peterborough is already an environment 'city', but wants to become the environment 'capital' of the UK
