(ICT) are integral to almost everything we do. This means we
must look at our changing business requirements and design and
deliver ICT services that are customer focused, flexible and most
of all offer value for money.

To meet these requirements and to ensure that we keep up to date
with advances in technology that continue to support our customers
an independent review of our ICT service was undertaken. It
identified a series of issues and challenges and suggested that the
option to work in partnership with an external ICT provider who
would manage our ICT services should be considered.
After following due process two suppliers responded to the
invitation to submit final tenders in June. Serco was chosen and has now been
announced as the preferred bidder. Our ICT service will be
transformed so that it is fit for purpose, innovative and
represents overall value for money. For more information email
