Environment Capital survey results

An overview of results following a survey on the Environment Capital brand.

The survey was part of a review to ensure branding and messages for Peterborough’s Environment Capital aspiration was recognisable, consistent and delivered the message clearly.

Peterborough was designated an Environment City in 1992 and the aim is to build on our experience to become the UK's Environment Capital, given the shift towards global environmental challenges such as climate change as well as the city’s ambition to grow substantially but sustainably.

Creating the UK’s Environment Capital was therefore included as one of Peterborough’s four strategic priorities and includes making Peterborough cleaner and greener; conserving natural resources; increasing the use of sustainable transport; and increasing the environmental business sector.
