Deputy Pre-School Supervisor

Family Action requires a deputy pre-school supervisor to work out our Paston Playdays pre-school. Hours available are 18.5 per week term time only. 8.00am to 11.30am Monday to Friday.

Additional hour included in pay towards planning time. £6.91 per hour.

Applicants must have a relevant Early Years Level 3 qualification and some experience in a supervisory role.

Barnack home from home club breakfast/After School and Holiday Club in the grounds of Barnack Primary School are looking for an enthusiastic manager.

NVQ Level 3 Early Years or equivalent required and a minimum of 2 years experience in a child care setting.

Initially this is a 1 year Contract, responsible for this developing ‘out of school hours’ service. Minimum 21 hours per week. We are keen on outdoor play and have a fantastic setting at Barnack Primary School.

Early Years Day Nursery looking to appoint experienced and motivated Nursery Manager.

This is a suited role for an experienced Nursery Manager who is looking to join a small organisation that is able to offer an excellent working environment with a focus to pursue uncompromising standards of care and education for children aged 2-5 years.

You will have excellent interpersonal skills with an ability to manage and motivate people and develop and maintain excellent parent partnership programs.

Some of your responsibilities will include:

  • To achieve and maintain high standards of care and education
  • To effectively lead and manage the staff team including recruitment and retention, providing day to day guidance, training and support to all staff
  • To ensure all policies, procedures and curriculums are implemented and adhered to at all times
  • To keep abreast of current early childhood thinking/trends
  • To effectively manage the budgets and occupancy levels
  • To implement an effective parent liaison programme, to be influential in developing strong links with parents.
  • To manage all day to day operations of the nursery
  • You will need to have the following qualifications, training and experience:
  • Ideally an appropriate level 6 qualification but consideration will be given to applicants with appropriate level 3 or above qualification and are able to demonstrate significant experience in management of early years settings
  • Excellent knowledge of health and safety legislation
  • Knowledge of OFSTED standards
  • Excellent knowledge of the EYFS
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to work to targets and deadlines
  • Good time management skills
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Strong people management skills
  • Knowledge and understanding of equal opportunities/SENCO etc.
  • Previous relevant management experience

In line with the Local Safeguarding Children’s Board Guidelines the position is subject to an Enhanced Criminal Records Bureau Check and references from previous employers.  Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
