Becoming a social worker

Peterborough City Council offers a trainee social worker scheme in partnership with Anglia Ruskin University (ARU) as part as our overall workforce development strategy. The scheme involves a four year part time degree course, whilst benefiting from earning a salary.

The 2012 trainee social worker scheme is being launched with an open evening  on Wednesday 8 February 2012 at Guild House, Oundle Road, Peterborough, 3.30pm-6.30pm. 

At the event you will be able to listen to presentations from ARU, PCC children's workforce development and current about the degree course and the trainee social worker position at the Council. You will also have the opportunity to ask any questions you have about the scheme.

Once your place has been booked, you will be sent an email one week before the event with further details.
