Family and estate collections

Notable families of landed gentry often build up extensive collections of records relating to the administration of their estates and the history of their families. Many of these records are now available for public consultation. Those relating to Peterborough included in this guide are:

  • Cecil Family, Marquesses of Exeter
  • Huntly Collection
  • Wentworth-Fitzwilliam family of Milton
