Are there any famous people from Peterborough?  There have been a wide range of historical figures, both well known and unknown, who have fascinating stories to tell connected to Peterborough. This tour explores some of these stories and visits the places around the city centre where these people lived, worked and died.

Find out about Doctor Thomas Walker and his role as surgeon, antiquarian and one of the founders of the city's museum. Discover which King of England was born near Peterborough. Learn how Andrew Carnegie - famous for Carnegie Hall in New York, USA - paid for Peterborough's library, and be astonished to hear how Charles Dickens immortalised Peterborough - twice!
