Talks by Don Chiswell

Chiswell has a Humanities degree from Bristol Polytecnic and subsequently qualified as a teacher in Further Education.

don chiswellHe has been interested in history for as long as he can remember and believes that real history (as opposed to the Hollywood version) matters. Conseqently, he enjoys demolishing popular historical myths.

He has delivered courses on subjects spanning over 3,000 years of history at PCAE and to a wide variety of local groups and societies. Since 2006 he has given a series of monthly lectures for Peterborough Museum and participated in historical re-enactments and guided tours. He is currently engaged in research for a book on Bosworth Field and co-writing a history of Peterborough, both of which it is hoped to publish eventually!
