At 15 metres in length (a bus is 12m long), the
biggest pliosaur is called Liopleurodon. It is believed
to have eaten large fish of which included, ichthyosaurs and even
plesiosaurs. This Liopleurodon ferox tooth is more than 20cm in
length. This gives you a bit more of an idea how big the
Pliosaurs really were. Also discovered in the Oxford Clay around
Peterborough are Peloneustes. These grew to 3m and are believed to
have eaten squid
