Spooky Stuff
We are not only the fascinating repository of
Peterborough's history and a great place to visit, but the museum
is also Peterborough's most haunted building, with at least 8
different ghosts said to haunt the place. Have a look at our
ghost-cam in the cellar and see if you can spot one.
When the museum reopens candlelit tours and ghost vigils
will resume.
Our ghosts are very active and have attracted interest from
newspapers, radio and TV, including Living TV's 'Most
Haunted'.
We have had reports of over 70 different sites in Peterborough
which have had paranormal activity, and on average we
get one or two new cases reported each month!
Our ghost walks are a
great way to hear the stories and perhaps spot a ghost or
two.
You can also hear about other spooky and grizzly goings-on on one
of our crime and punishment walks. If you have a
group of people who would like to hear a talk about Peterborough's ghosts, how
we set up the ghost walks and ask questions about your own
paranormal experiences we can come out to visit you to give the
talk.
Many of Peterborough’s most popular cultural and sporting
facilities are part of Vivacity, an independent,
not-for-profit organisation with charitable status.
Find out more about
the trust on the Vivacity website.
