Yuletide Peterborough tour

Take a break from the Christmas shopping to join our costumed guide for a seasonal tour to discover how people used to celebrate the festive season.

Travel back to the Middle Ages with the 'Lord of Misrule' and find out how Christmas would have been celebrated 600 years ago.  Find out what a Medieval Christmas dinner would have consisted of, what the original 'Yule Log' was and where we get mince pies from! Discover some local Christmas traditions.

Learn where some of our modern Christmas traditions come from and how the Victorians created much of what we do today.  You'll never look at Christmas quite the same way again.
