Election called for Wansford parish council

An election for one vacancy on Wansford Parish Council, which consists of seven parish councillors in total, will take place on Thursday 6 January 2011. The vacancy has been caused by the resignation of former councillor Frederick Aspin.

Nomination forms can be obtained from the returning officer in the electoral services team at Peterborough Town Hall, Bridge Street, Peterborough PE1 1GF, who will, if requested, prepare a nomination paper for signature.

Nomination papers must be delivered to the returning officer at the Town Hall no later than noon on Monday 6 December 2010. If any election is contested the poll will take place on Thursday 6 January 2011.

Applications, amendments or cancellations of postal votes must reach the electoral registration officer at Peterborough Town Hall by 5 pm on Thursday 16 December 2010.

Applications to vote by proxy at this election must reach the electoral registration officer at Peterborough Town Hall by 5 pm on Thursday, 23rd December 2010.

Applications to vote by proxy at this election applied for on grounds of physical incapacity, where that physical incapacity occurred after 5 pm on Thursday 23 December 2010 must reach the electoral registration officer at Peterborough Town Hall by 5 pm on Thursday, 6 January 2011.
