Residents who want to make their journeys more
sustainable can find out more on a new Twitter feed set up by
Peterborough City Council's Travelchoice team.
The feed will be updated daily with
information about cycling, walking, public transport and car
sharing. It will also be used to share local transport information
including changes to bus services or new cycle routes.
Matthew Barber, the city council's sustainable
travel officer, said: "Using Twitter is an extra channel for us to
share information. If there is any news which we need to
communicate straight away, then Twitter will help us to do that,
and also potentially help us to reach a new audience.
"The feed will offer information about
sustainable transport choices as well as news of upcoming events
and activities that the team are involved in and projects we are
working on."
