Parenting Orders
This Order is made by the court because the court believes
that by accepting help and support, parents will be able to
encourage their children to avoid committing further offences and
to ensure their regular attendance at school each day.
The Order requires you to attend a Parenting Programme as arranged by a
member of the Youth Offending Service, also known as the
'Responsible Officer', who will explain the Order to you soon after
the Order is made.
During the programme you will receive help in dealing with your
child's behaviour and have a chance to discuss how this has
affected family life. You will be encouraged to set boundaries for
your children and challenge your child's demands when they are
unreasonable.
