Friends Lunchtime Lectures 2009

The Friends of Peterborough Museum and Art Gallery stage their programme of lunchtime lectures on the third Thursday of each month at 12.30pm at the Museum.  Entrance is £3.00 for members, £4 for non-members, which covers the lecture and a light lunch.

Thursday 15 January - 'Fish and Chips' - Prehistoric discoveries by Alan Dawn

 

Thursday 19 February - The Restoration of Bury St Edmunds Theatre by Anna Forest, National Trust

 

Thursday 19 March - Oliver Cromwell in Statue and Stained Glass by John Goldsmith, Cromwell Museum

 

Thursday 16 April - Nelson and Edith Dawson, Stamford Artists of the Arts and Crafts Movement by Philippa Massey, Stamford Museum

 

Thursday 21 May - The Fens between the Wars by Mike Petty, Cambs Assn for Local History

 

Thursday 18 June - The Longthorpe Fortress and the Disappearance of the 9th Roman Legion by Richard Jones

 

Thursday 16 July - Transport on the River Nene by Brian Keegan
