Who is classed as a parent?
Any parent or carer that a young person lives with is classed as a parent, this may also include a stepparent. A parent who is not living with the young person but is in regular contact may also be issued with a Parenting Order separately from the other parent. A Parenting Order may be made on one or both parents depending on the circumstances.
