What are my responsibilities?
It is your responsibility to inform your responsible officer
at the Youth Offending Service if you are unable to attend your
appointment. You may be asked to explain the reasons and
asked for a doctor's note if you are ill. Further appointments will
then be offered.
Missing your appointment without a reasonable excuse is not
acceptable. Failure to fulfil the conditions of the Order can be
treated as a criminal offence and parents/carers can be returned to
court and prosecuted.
On return the Court can:
- Fine you (up to £1,000)
- Re-sentence you, which could result in you receiving an Absolute Discharge, a Conditional Discharge or a Community Rehabilitation Order.
