16+ Proof of Age Card The National Proof of Age
Standards Scheme
As part of Peterborough Trading Standards & Licensing
Services commitment to reducing underage sales the 16+ proof of age
scheme was set up in partnership with Cambridgeshire Trading
Standards and has the PASS accreditation.
- Cards are provided free of charge to all young people in Peterborough
- Students are photographed in school
- Cards are issued in the month that the student reach the age of sixteen through the schools or individually if required
- Cards have a photograph, the date the student is sixteen and the date they are eighteen
- Replacements can be provided if a card is lost
- Shops should refuse sales of age restricted products to anyone who cannot produce a valid proof of age
