The Story Behind The Return of The Great Eastern Run
After 10 years, The Great Eastern Run returned to the racing
calendar and was a sensational success! In 2007 around 4,000
runners raced through the flat streets of Peterborough, supported
by thousands of spectators along the course cheering everyone
on.
We thought you might like to read some comments made by
runners:
"I travelled from Derbyshire
to take part in the GER as my first ever half marathon and
thoroughly enjoyed it. The event was fantastic, the marshals were
great and the support was brilliant. I will be back next year to
beat my time. " - Ruth Parker, Derbyshire
"What a great event, reminded me of Dublin
Marathon had the feel of a city marathon. Lots of people clapping
and cheering all the way round, flat course, good parking and
clockworkorganisation. Think it was the best UK event
I have raced" - Simon Fawcett, Bedfordshire
