Gladstone North, parking restrictions
What is it?
Following on from an informal consultation in 2006, a formal consultation took place between 30 March 2007 and 20 April 2007 for Orders OU7007 and OU7107. These two Orders proposed changes to parking restrictions within the whole area bounded by Lincoln Road, Occupation Road, Bourges Boulevard and Taverners Road.
Following consideration of the responses received to the formal consultation, some changes have been made to the proposed restrictions. The Order has been sealed, and will take effect on 17 November 2008. The new signs and road markings will be introduced in the intervening period. Once the new restrictions take effect the need for any further changes will be monitored closely.

- Order OU70: Taverners Road, Silverwood Road, Summerfield Road, Springfield Road, Cambridge Avenue, parts of Gladstone Street, Clarence Road and Bourges Boulevard from English Street to Taverners Road
- Order OU71: English Street, Windmill Street, Searjeant Street, Occupation Road, Parliament Street, Harris Street and parts of Bourges Boulevard, Clarence Road and Gladstone Street north of English Street
Letter to residents, accompanying information, formal Notice of Making, and the Orders as made.
As originally proposed, properties backing onto the rear access roads off Windmill Street and Searjeant Street will not be eligible for on-street resident parking permits when these Orders take effect, however all permits already in existence will be honoured until their expiry date.
List of properties NOT eligible for on-street resident permits. All other residential properties within a resident parking area are entitled to ONE resident permit. All properties within a resident permit area are entitled to ONE free resident permit. Please note that these limits over-ride the Council's usual limits on permits, due to the shortage of parking spaces in this area. Information on parking permits and application forms are available on our Parking Permits page.
Thank you to everyone who commented on these proposals. If you wish to look at information and plans circulated as part of the formal consultation in March 2007, please follow this link.
