Project Argus
What Is Project ARGUS?
Project ARGUS is a National Counter Terrorism Security Office (NaCTSO) initiative, exploring ways to aid you in preventing, handling and recovering from a terrorist attack. It is ideal for businesses of any size, whether you are a national chain or a small business. Peterborough City Council is very pleased to be supporting Cambridgeshire Constabulary in the roll-out of this event.
How Much Does It Cost?
Nothing! This event is completely free to delegates.
Who Should Attend?
Businesses of any size or type within Peterborough are welcome to attend. It is ideal for anyone with responsibility for staff, health and safety, first aid, assets, etc., but everyone is welcome. Delegates from major retail stores and small family businesses alike have all attended and given excellent feedback.
What Format Does It Take?
This exercise is based upon a worst case scenario, which we hope will never happen. However, businesses every day are disrupted by unexpected events as fire, flood, crime, sickness, industrial action, loss of IT or utilities, or weather-related incidents. Project Argus will get you thinking about business continuity planning for your organisation: why you should do it; how to do it; and who can help you. It is also a great chance to meet other businesses in your community and compare notes on resilience planning.
When Is The Next Project Argus?
The next Project ARGUS is aimed at businesses within the night time economy, and will be held at Liquid Nightclub, New Road Peterborough on Tuesday 13th January 2009 at 2.30pm. If you are interested in attending, or would like to know more, please contact Sue Ellingworth on 01733 207210 or email susan.ellingworth@peterborough.gov.uk
Don't miss out!
