School exclusions
What are school exclusions?
A decision can be taken by a school Headteacher to exclude a pupil from school. An exclusion can be issued for a fixed number of days or on a permanent basis. The decision to exclude should be taken only in response to serious breaches of the school's behaviour policy and if allowing the pupil to remain in school would harm the education or welfare of others in the school.
