The City of Peterborough Symphony
Orchestra performance of 'Pomp & Circumstance' was
cancelled.
Festival management were forced to replace
the original stage as it had become unsafe due to weather damage. A
replacement stage was required urgently in order for
the Festival to continue. Due to these unaviodable last minute
changes The City of Peterborough Symphony Orchestra were unable to
perform as previously programmed. In order not to disappoint those
of you who had planned to attend we have found a replacement act we
are sure you will enjoy. ALIBI, originating from London, are
a professional eight piece swing jazz band from 7.30pm: a
wonderful summer evening with beautiful sounds on the
Embankment. ALIBI has a great reputation and a sound that is
perfect to enjoy in the sunshine.
The Festival team sent notice of this change of
programme to the media as soon as possible but due to printing
deadlines this information was unable to be included in local press
before Sunday evening. The information has was broadcast on
local radio.
