In response to your concerns a week of
coordinated actions will commence in Orton Malborne on
Monday 11th June 2007 with the aim of making Orton Malborne
a cleaner and safer place for everyone to live, work and
visit
The plans
include:
- Smartwater to homes in hot spot areas
- Home safety fire checks
- Graffiti removal
- Clearing of grot spots
- Creating new Neighbourhood Watch schemes
- Distraction burglary/rogue trader awareness sessions
- Road safety workshop for young people and parents
- Tackling mini-motos
- Activities for children and young people
Who's
involved?
Peterborough City Council, the Police,
Peterborough Fire Service, Trading Standards, Neighbourhood Watch,
Job Centre Plus, local schools, Cross Keys Housing, Accent Nene
Housing, The Environment Agency, Peterborough Youth Offending
Service, Peterborough in Bloom,NACRO, local tenants and resident
groups, Peterborough Youth Services, Private Sector Housing, Circle
33 Housing Trust, DVLA, Peterborough Primary Care Trust,
Peterborough Drug & Alcohol Team, Street Scene, TV Licensing,
local community groups, local businesses and most importantly local
people, will be working together to tackle those concerns
raised.
