There are lots of events that take place in the park ranging from concerts, open air theatre productions, sports courses, teddy bears picnics and fun days.

The park takes particular pride in its Ranger service, whose community-based projects include educational visits, wildflower planting, installation of school-built bat boxes, local sponsorship for the formal flower beds and continued development with the Friends of the Park Group. Central Park
