Park Ward MTURA (Management of Traffic in Urban Residential Areas)

The following is an update on progress of the schemes that make up the Park Ward MTURA Project

Construction works on the Park Ward Scheme will commence on Monday 28 July 2008 and continue until 26 September 2008. The works programme is as follows:

28/07/08-15/08/08	All Saints Road/ Dogsthorpe Road Junction	The works comprise the construction of junction build-outs on Dogsthorpe Road. During these works All Saints Road will be closed at this junction.
04/08/08-15/08/08	Queens Drive West/Park Road	The works comprise the construction of a pedestrian refuge and dropped crossings on Queens Drive West.
14/08/08-28/08/08	Huntly Grove - access to the King's School	The works comprise the construction of a raised plateau with carriageway and footway works. During these works Huntly Grove will be closed between the access and the junction with Park Road.
18/08/08-05 /09/08	Princes Street/Dogsthorpe Road Junction	The works comprise the construction of junction build-outs on Dogsthorpe Road and a raised plateau on Princes Street. During these works Princes Street will be closed at this junction.
01/09/08/- 19/09/08	All Saints Rd/Park Road Junction	The works comprise the construction of a junction build-out and a pedestrian refuge on All Saints Road and Park Road. During these works All Saints Road will be closed at this junction.
08/09/08-26/09/08	Princes Street/Park Road Junction	The works comprise the construction of a pedestrian refuge, dropped crossings and implementation of a "Left Turn Only". During these works Princes Street will be closed at this junction.
28/09/08-03/10/08	Princes Gate/Park Road Junction	The works comprise the realignment of the kerbs on the northern corner of Princes Gate and Park Road.

The following Traffic Regulation Orders are at various stages;

Delamere Close "No Waiting Mon-Fri, 9am-5pm". The amended Notice of Making and Plan was distributed to residents on 06 June 2008. Signing and lining will be undertaken in August 2008.
Dogsthorpe Grove Parking Restrictions. A Notice of Making and Plan was distributed to residents on 06 June 2008. Signing and lining will be undertaken in August 2008.
Tait Close, Ashcroft Gardens & Briar Way. Residents will be consulted on various options for parking restrictions in September 2008.
Alexandra Road Phase 2 (Vere Road, Northfield Road & Peveril Road). The Informal Consultation will run until 27 June 2008. The Plan for the section North of Exeter and the section South of Exeter were distributed to residents on 28 May 2008.
Exeter Road. Plans for traffic calming Exeter Road will be consulted on later in 2008.
Dogsthorpe Road. The Notice of Making and Plan was distributed to residents on 26 June 2008. Lining and signing will be undertaken in August 2008.
Alma Road. A Notice of Making and Plan was distributed to residents on 26 June 2008. Lining and signing will be undertaken in August 2008.
Queens Drive West, All Saint's Road, Prince's Street, Huntly Grove, Granville Street 20MPH Zone. The Order was made on 31 March 2008 and will come into force from 7 April 2008. The Notice of Making was distributed to residents on 3 March 2008. Plans for Queens Drive West, All Saint's Road and Prince's Street and Huntly Grove and Granville Street accompanied the Notice of Making.
Prince's Street Junction with Park Road. A decision letter on the junction was sent to residents on 22 May 2008. The order was sealed on 02 June 2008. A Notice of Making and Plan was distributed to residents on 06 June 2008.
Eastfield Road. An informal consultation on parking restrictions ended on 30 May 2008. Two plans were sent to residents for 169/202 - 233/230 Eastfield Road and 233/230 - 265/240 Eastfield Road.
Queens Gardens. An informal consultation on parking restrictions was undertaken from 09 May 2008 - 30 May 2008. A plan was distributed to residents for consideration. Residents did not support the proposed restrictions. Consequently this scheme will not be progressed further.

The following Park Ward MTURA schemes have been implemented;

Alexandra Road Traffic Calming Scheme.
Alma Road Closure.
College Park "No Waiting at Any Time" extension at the junction of Eastfield Road.
Traffic Calming of Queens Drive West, All Saints Road, Princes Street, Granville Street and Huntley Grove
