Hackney Carriage Drivers
The Licensing Office has a responsibility
to ensure that drivers, proprietors and operators of hackney
carriages are fit and proper persons to hold such licences.
Drivers are issued with a badge which must
be worn at all time when carrying out their duties.
Licences are only issued by the Council after the driver has
been checked to ensure he/she:

- Has a good knowledge of the Peterborough area with a good standard of driving
In support of a completed application form the applicant will
have to provide the Licensing Office with the following:

- Evidence of any previous criminal conviction, spent or not spent, the disclosure being acquired by the Licensing Officer from the Criminal Records Bureau (CRB). This form is not available for download.
