Neighbourhood investment
Our neighbourhood investment team works with partners eg.
police, voluntary organisations, local community groups and
residents, to produce plans that will show how the city and its
neighbourhoods will develop over the next 10 to 20 years
This means that every resident of the city will have an
opportunity to influence the way their neighbourhood develops over
this time.
We have divided the city into five areas, covering both urban
and rural neighbourhoods, communities and villages.
By using all the existing information,
knowledge and data that we and our partners hold about the city and
combining this with plans drawn up by local communities and
residents we will ensure that development plans and investment are
both local and appropriate.
The five areas
The five neighbourhood area boundaries largely follow natural
boundaries such as major roads, railways and the River Nene.
